Configuration
Now you’ve got Ares Catcher installed on your computer, the first thing you need to do is to check that the default settings fit your needs.
As you can see in following image, the main Ares Catcher window pops up immediately after installation. Click on "Options".

In the window that then opens, you can set the destination folder the videos you download, and the excellent function for converting clips to MPEG.

In the first case, Ares Catcher will choose to download in its own "Downloads" folder. Or, if you have your media library in order, you can choose your own location. You just have to press button 1.
The next option is the excellent utility for converting the downloaded video to MPEG. You can also choose to:
- Delete the original file after conversion: the first file that you get with Ares Catcher is in FLV format and then converted to MP4. If you don’t tick this box, you’ll get the two videos.
- Import the converted video into iTunes: if you have an iPod, iPhone or other Apple device synchronized with the player, Ares Catcher will include it in the list automatically, so you can transfer it to your Apple product.
You can see the above options in box 2 and 3, respectively.
Well done! Now you just have to read the user manual and enjoy Ares Catcher.
